The Last 3 Weeks

I've been home a total of 2 days the last 3 weeks, so here's a quick recap:

The trip was great, easily the best trip I've been a part of. My friends from the States and I spent 2 weeks praying over different cities, sharing love and truth with people in those cities, and learning about the situation here in this country. It was really good to see them and a lot of fun to work with them. I think God gave them a great understanding of what it's like over here. And aside from a hotel that decided to throw loud and late parties, we didn't have any problems at all. God really blessed us.

At the end of the 2 weeks, I took my friends to the airport, said goodbye, and headed back home to spend a whopping 2 days there before the next trip. During those 2 days I tried to see every local friend I could, and actually had some good times of sharing. After that I packed another bag and went to Man Camp.

Man Camp is a meeting that my company puts on for all the men in the country to come together and talk about strategy once a year. This year's meeting was a good one, with a speaker from a neighboring country talking about his successes, failures, and what he's learned from them all. On top of all that, I logged in some good hours on the volleyball court. It was some of the most fun I've ever had playing volleyball, mostly because the net was all of 6 feet tall. Now I know why tall guys like volleyball so much.

After Man Camp, I headed to the Big Apple with a couple of good friends of mine, one of whom is returning to the States in a few days. It was a good weekend, the first day we went to a football match of our favorite team. Though the tickets were cheap, we had great seats and really enjoyed the match. Unfortunately, our team played like little girls and tied a team we should have beaten. Still, it was fun to watch the match in person.

To top the weekend off, I got to run in a race in the Big Apple. It was a short race (only 6.5k) but I really enjoyed the run. It was pouring down rain, but I got used to it after the first 5 minutes or so.

After all that, I hopped on a night bus and headed home. I've got one more trip to go on in a few days, after that I should be around for a few months. Here's hoping it works out that way.
